BLUE ORBIT has a speedy pedigree – he’s by Starman and out of an unraced half-sister to Blue Point – and he made a promising start to his career when runner-up at Chepstow last month.

That effort looks even better now than it did at the time, as the winner and third have both gone on to win since, and this presents a good opportunity for Blue Orbit also to get off the mark. Proof was disappointing last time but had made an encouraging debut when runner-up at Salisbury, so he gets the nod for the forecast spot.

BABYLON improved on his maiden and novice efforts when runner-up on his handicap debut at Yarmouth in April and he took another step forward on Timeform’s ratings when third at Salisbury last month.

He shaped well there, having made his challenge from a bit further back than the first two, and he looks fairly treated off the same mark here, particularly as the step up in trip offers scope for further improvement.

MISS DOLLY ROCKER was disappointing at Kempton last time, but it’s easy enough to overlook that effort as she was stuck on the outside from her high draw.

Before that, she had offered encouragement when third at Ascot on her reappearance and first start for the Kublers (was previously with Roger Teal). She is on a fair mark based on the pick of her efforts for her former yard and looks worth another chance.

This looks like a good opportunity for WAY OF STARS, who has been running well in handicap company. He was runner-up on his first couple of starts this season and then ran creditably when fourth in a strong event at Doncaster last time.

He sets a good standard based on those efforts and stands out as the one to beat. Earnest Belief shaped well when third at Haydock last month and remains open to improvement for his leading yard. So he could provide the main threat.

SEVEN SYMPHONIES looked unlucky not to finish closer when fifth on his reappearance and handicap debut at Sandown last month and he is entitled to build on that promise.

Seven Symphonies, who was gelded ahead of his return to action, would probably have been in the mix for the places had he not been short of room when making headway over a furlong out, and he can do better with a clearer shot at things. It’s also worth noting that he’s a scopey sort with the physique to do better.

Dan Tucker ran his best race to date when runner-up on his first attempt over five furlongs at York on Friday. Dan Tucker travelled well, showing the pace for the minimum trip, and he looked to have timed his run to perfection when moving upsides 50 yards out, but he lost out on the bob.

He is taken to go one better off the same mark here.
