Known as Quad, the site on Road Five at Winsford Industrial Estate consists of four units, currently home to local employers Henkel UK Operations Ltd, Frank Roberts & Sons Ltd, Renray Healthcare Ltd and Clearfield Envirotech Ltd.
It has now been confirmed the 13.29-acre site is changing hands as part of a £16 million deal.
A spokesman for the deal said the site had been sold by Pitalia Real Estate and acquired by Cube Asset Management on behalf of One Point Investments, with the move intended to ‘increase the size of its property portfolio’.
The units total 239,568 sq ft of office space and two were recently refurbished. The site also includes a 0.63-acre parcel of undeveloped land.
Matthew Pochin, director at commercial property firm Legat Owen, which brokered the deal alongside JLL, said the sale was testimony to what he called the ‘continued strength’ of the region’s industrial market and investor demand for ‘well located assets’.
He added: “Road Five presented a compelling opportunity with robust rental growth prospects and a secure income profile. We’re pleased to have achieved a successful outcome for our client.”
Winsford Industrial Estate was the first in the UK to become a Business Improvement District (BID) – a type of business-led and business funded body formed to improve a commercial area.
It is also home to 4,000 employees working in a range of professions, ranging from food manufacturing, chemical supplies, packaging to engineering.
