A man has been rushed to hospital with ‘potentially life-threatening’ injuries after he was struck by a car which failed to stop in Birmingham city centre.
The hit-and-run crash happened in Holliday Street, near Broad Street, at around 4.30am today, June 22.
Police said the pedestrian was rushed to hospital with ‘potentially life-threatening injuries’.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding following the incident.

A woman, 20, and a second man, 21, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Detectives have issued this image below of a man they would like to identify.
Police added that a vehicle, believed to have been involved in the incident, was recovered and will be forensically examined.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for witnesses and footage after a man was hit by a car in Birmingham.
“We were called to Holliday Street in the city centre at around 4.30am this morning (22 June) to reports a man had been hit by a car which didn’t stop.

“He was taken to hospital where she remains with potentially life-threatening injuries.
“One man, aged 22, has been arrested on suspicion of wounding, while a woman, aged 20, and a man, aged 21, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
“A vehicle, believed to have been involved in the incident, has been recovered and will be forensically examined.
“Our investigation is at an early stage and we are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage, to get in touch with us.
“We would also like to speak to the man pictured here as part of our enquiries.
