The Bluebirds will be the Blues first opposition of the 2025/26 season, with the teams meeting at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia on Saturday, July 12 with a 7pm kick off (local time).
In the coming days there will be specific packages available for supporters to join the club in Spain.
The Blues also confirmed the remainder of the pre-season schedule, with two more matches to be played at Roots Hall.
On July 26, Southend be welcoming Johnnie Jackson’s AFC Wimbledon to SS2. The Wombles beat Walsall 1-0 in the League Two Play-Off Final to earn a spot in the third tier for the first time since 2022.
The Blues will wrap up preparations by hosting Charlton Athletic. Led by former Shrimper Nathan Jones, the Addicks also won at Wembley to earn promotion to the Championship for 2025/26.
