Funds run by consolidators Titan, Progeny and Foster Denovo are among the in-house adviser portfolios lagging the returns of peers, exclusive Citywire research reveals.

Performance analysis of more than 270 funds run by advice firms, housing more than £250bn of client money, reveals which investment propositions are struggling to keep up with rivals.

The research covers 25 advice firms’ investment propositions, ranging from the large, such as St James’s Place’s £179bn range of 45 funds, to regional players like Birmingham’s William James Financial Services, with £139m across four funds.
