An all-star crime caper is now available to buy or rent at home after its theatrical run.
The Phoenician Scheme is Wes Anderson‘s latest, set in an alternate-world Middle East where an arms dealer and his daughter, a nun, go on the run after being set upon by assassins.
As always, the esoteric filmmaker has assembled a famous ensemble, with Benicio del Toro, Riz Ahmed, Michael Cera, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hanks, Willem Dafoe, Jeffrey Wright, and Bill Murray to name just a few.
After releasing last month, the film can now be digitally purchased or rented from outlets such as Prime Video, Apple TV, and the Microsoft Store.
At the time of writing, the film costs £15.99 to rent for 48 hours, and £19.99 to purchase.
The Phoenician Scheme has also been acclaimed by critics, standing a very solid 77% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 256 reviews, at the time of writing.

Here’s what some of the reviews have said:
“The Phoenician Scheme, let’s say straight away, is a treat. Unlike its predecessors, it has a story to tell, rather than being an anthology of incidents. It uses all of Anderson’s stylisations but is not primarily about them, as his later films had started to seem.”

“It is always entertaining, and delivered with the usual conviction and force but with less of the romantic extravagance than we’ve seen before.”
“Buoyed by a traditionally spectacular ensemble, The Phoenician Scheme feels unlikely to be anyone’s favorite Wes Anderson flick. Still, it’s so easy to like that it’s equally difficult to hate it.”
The Phoenician Scheme is available to purchase and rent from various digital retailers now.
