The visit was part of a new sports initiative by the Authentic Education Trust.
He shared his experiences as a teen in sport and discussed how he deals with setbacks.
He also talked about his 2023 world championship fight against Laurence Okolie.
Year six pupil Poppy asked about his entrance music, and he revealed that he chose Adele’s Hometown Glory because it ‘fit the moment perfectly’.

He cited Roger Federer, Serena Williams and Gennady Golovkin for their sporting skill and public conduct.
Gemma Sutter, principal of Manorside Academy, said: “The children were so excited.
“It was great to hear Chris talk about our school values of respect, kindness and resilience and relate them to his own success.”
The visit also marked the launch of a new boxing initiative across the trust’s schools.
The trust aims to train 24 coaches to deliver boxing lessons in its 13 academies.
Chris Billam-Smith said: “I really enjoyed meeting the children; they had some very thought-provoking questions.
“I’m a father myself now, so I know how important it is for children to see good role models.”
