Swindon-based Southby & Co Financial Planning has been named a finalist in the Charity Champions of the Year category at the Money Marketing Awards 2025.
Based in Wroughton, the firm specialises in helping individuals, families, and small business owners manage their wealth across Swindon and North Wiltshire.
Dave Southby, founder of Southby & Co, said: “Being shortlisted for the Money Marketing Community Champion award means so much to me and the team.
“One of our values is to support our local community and charity partners, so to be recognised nationally for the work, within our industry, is incredible.”
The Charity Champion of the Year category honours businesses that raise awareness and funds for charities through outstanding social impact.
Southby & Co’s charitable work includes long-standing support for Wroughton Youth FC, as well as sponsorship of the Wroughton Tornados and Wroughton Witches football teams.
In 2025, the firm will continue supporting the Kelly Foundation, its 2024 Charity of the Year, and will also back CALM (Children’s Cancer & Leukaemia Movement), the Swindon Toy Appeal, and Avon Needs Trees, which works to create permanent woodland across the South West.
Mr Southby said: “Being a supporter of local charities is a huge part of our business.
“For us, it is about engaging with our community and making life easier for those in need and improving the place in which we live.
“To be nominated in this category is such a boost and I am so glad the Money Marketing Awards is putting charity work at the heart of our industry.
“Hopefully, this will encourage other companies to do the same.”
The Money Marketing Awards celebrate excellence across the UK financial services sector, bringing together hundreds of advisors and industry leaders.
This year’s ceremony will take place at The Londoner Hotel in London’s West End on Thursday, September 11.
Tom Browne, editor of Money Marketing, said: “We are excited to welcome the Southby & Co Financial Planning team to the Money Marketing Awards 2025.
“We can’t wait to celebrate the businesses nominated and see who wins.”
Southby & Co will attend the event in London, where they will find out if they have secured the Charity Champion of the Year title.
The awards feature 11 categories in the advisor awards section, with Charity Champion of the Year being a key part of the 2025 lineup.
