A gun has been recovered by police and a driver arrested in Birmingham after a suspected road rage incident led to an armed police response.
Officers were called to the road rage incident, said to involve a man with a weapon, and tracked a car in the Sheldon area of the city on Wednesday (June 25).
Police brought the car to a stop shortly after 7.30pm, detained the driver and searched the car.

A pistol was found inside along with an extendable baton. The gun was seized and has been sent for forensic testing.
The 37-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and an offensive weapon, and also on suspicion of drink driving.
He is being questioned in police custody.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We’ve arrested a man and recovered a gun after armed officers stopped a car in Birmingham.
“Officers investigating reports of a road rage incident, involving a weapon, had tracked the car and brought it to a stop in the Sheldon area just after 7.30pm last night (June 25).
“The driver was detained and a pistol was seized from inside the car alongside an extendable baton.
“The gun has been seized and will now undergo forensic testing.
“A man, aged 37, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and an offensive weapon, and suspicion of drink driving.
“He remains in custody for questioning.
“Our investigation is continuing and anyone with information should call us on 101 quoting Log 5253 of 25 June.
“We’re continuing to take guns off the streets of the West Midlands as part of Operation Target.”
