One of Wales’ leading holiday park operators, Celtic Holiday Parks, has entered administration and is now on the hunt for a buyer. The luxury sites located across south Pembrokeshire will remain operational during this period. Following their appointment on May 27, 2025, joint administrators Alistair Wardell and Richard Lewis of Grant Thornton UK released a statement confirming the news.

According to the statement, Noble Court Holiday Park in Narberth and Meadow House Holiday Park in Amroth, both managed under the Celtic Holiday Parks umbrella, will continue to welcome guests and operate as usual throughout the administration process.

The administrators stated that they intend to keep the business running while searching for a potential buyer and have opted to retain all company employees. Existing bookings will be upheld unless customers receive alternative advice, reports Wales Online.

Meanwhile, caravan and lodge owners will maintain full access to the facilities.

The official statement reads: “Alistair Wardell and Richard Lewis of Grant Thornton UK Advisory and Tax LLP, 3 Callaghan Square, Cardiff CF10 5BT were appointed as joint administrators of Celtic Holiday Parks Limited (the Company) on 27 May 2025, which has operations at two sites: Noble Court Holiday Park in Narberth and Meadow House Holiday Park in Amroth.

“Subsequently, the joint administrators have also been appointed to C, V and A Pendleton (a firm) on 23 June 2025, a partnership which operates the third holiday park under the Celtic Holiday Parks brand, Croft Country Park.

“The joint administrators are continuing to trade the company’s business across all three sites whilst a buyer is sought, and the Company’s employees have been retained to support this strategy.

“We confirm that, unless customers are contacted and advised otherwise, their bookings will go ahead and access to the parks will continue as normal for owners of caravans and lodges.”

Celtic Holiday Parks was founded in 2003 by managing director Huw Pendleton as a family-run enterprise, according to the Daily Express.

The parks have garnered accolades, including luxury accommodation provider of the year – south Wales and recognition as among the top caravan and camping parks in Pembrokeshire.

Over the past two decades, the firm has invested roughly £6 million into expanding and enhancing its sites.

It provides a variety of static caravans, luxury lodges, glamping pods, and touring and camping pitches.

Prospective buyers interested in purchasing the business and assets are being urged to get in touch with the administrators’ team directly.

The company navigated the hurdles of the coronavirus pandemic with assistance from a six-figure HSBC loan in 2020.

The loan was obtained through the coronavirus business interruption loan scheme, facilitating the expansion of their portfolio with 54 new holiday homes.

Last year, Mr Pendleton received accolades for his significant impact on the sector, being recognised for his “outstanding contribution to the UK tourism industry.”
