POLICE have locked down part of a Scots street after the death of a 60-year-old man.

Cops were called to Glasgow’s Finsbay Street and set up a cordon near Shieldhall Road.

Officers were spotted carrying equipment into one of the properties in FInsbay Street

The street has been sealed off since last night and cops have now confirmed they were called in response to man’s death.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We received a call at 6.36am today to attend an incident on Govan and dispatched one ambulance to the scene.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.40am on Tuesday, 1 July, 2025, officers were called to Finsbay Street, Glasgow following the death of a 60-year-old man.

“The death is being treated as unexplained, however there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
