Blair Russell Productions brings a bold new musical to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with JACKIE!!!, a dazzling and daring exploration of Jacqueline Kennedy’s life, premiering at Gilded Balloon Patter House (Big Yin). Running from 30 July to 25 August (excluding 11 August), this sharp-witted production dives into the glamour, scandal, and shadows of America’s most iconic political dynasty.
JACKIE!!! is a fast-paced, satirical musical that unpacks the darker side of the Kennedy legacy. With biting humour, punchy musical numbers, and a touch of absurdity, the show reimagines Jackie Kennedy not just as a First Lady, but as a woman navigating the treacherous waters of fame, power, and family legacy. The production questions whether the American dream is worth the price of the so-called Kennedy curse.
Developed by a dynamic creative team—Joe McNeice, Max Alexander-Taylor, and Nancy Edwards—JACKIE!!! draws parallels between the Kennedy family’s notorious history and today’s wealth-driven political landscape. The team describes Jackie as “the original influencer,” whose life was far more complex than the polished image she projected. What began as a glamorous musical has evolved into a darkly comedic and provocative piece about ambition, corruption, and the mythology of American greatness.
