Hollyoaks’ Mercedes McQueen and Tony Hutchinson are set to continue their surprise romance next week, but things take a turn when Tony hides a big secret.
This week, Tony found out that Mercedes’ teen son Bobby had been hiding at The Dog after he escaped custody.
He was furious, as Bobby previously killed his half-sister Verity, and was keen to go to the police. Mercedes managed to convince him otherwise, and Tony realised that he would have done the same thing to protect his own child.
The pair shared a bottle of wine as they made amends and reminisced on their previous affair – but they soon ended up kissing, in a huge twist.

Mercedes gets important news next week when she finds out that there has been a sighting of missing Bobby, though viewers know he has been taken by Clare.
Tony offers Mercedes support during her time of need, but she brushes him off and makes it clear that their brief fling meant nothing to her.
But it isn’t long before passion takes over once more, and Mercedes and Tony end up sleeping together again.
Word soon gets out about their secret fling, when John Paul – who is busy organising his wedding – spots a message on Mercedes’ phone.

He teases his half-sister about this, and Mercedes admits that despite their arguments about Bobby, her liaison with Tony is escapism for her at the moment.
As the pair continue grow closer, Tony confides in Mercedes while they are in bed together and opens up about missing Verity, several years after her death.
Mercedes then receives an anonymous message on her phone from someone claiming to know where Bobby is.

However, Mercedes is out of the room at this point, so Tony sees the message and must choose what to do with this new information.
It’s a tough choice to make, but Tony deletes the text on Mercedes’ phone, meaning that she remains in the dark about her son’s current location.
Will Mercedes find out what Tony has done, and will this mean the end of their surprise fling?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
