Fans think that Lisa Swain is set to be rocked by a ‘blast from the past’ but not Becky as others as some think she may still be alive

Coronation Street fans think that Lisa Swain is set to be rocked by a ‘blast from the past’ – and it’s not her late wife Becky, as others think she may still be alive.
It’s been four years since viewers of the ITV soap were introduced to the character, with the detective sergeant first seen in 2021 when she led the police investigation into the assaults on Nina Lucas and Seb Franklin which led to the latter’s death.
She later made sporadic appearances when dealing with other crimes and incidents on the eventful street, but it wasn’t until early last year that fans started to see more Lisa, rather than just DS Swain.
During her investigation into missing Lauren Bolton, despite her best friend Roy Cropper being accused of the teen’s murder, Lisa and Carla Connor grew closer.

A ‘will they, won’t they’ romance storyline that unfolded and they finally gave into their feelings for each other late last year. Their romance has since blossomed, but Lisa’s past is still shrouded in mystery.
Little is known about Lisa’s former partner, and her daughter Betsy Swain’s other mum, with it being revealed last year that she died in the line of duty. It’s since emerged she was being investigated for corruption before her death, but the reasons why still remain unclear.
Meanwhile, following Betsy’s arrival in Weatherfield last summer, it quickly became clear that Lisa and the teen’s relationship hadn’t been perfect since Becky’s death and the past does keep coming back to haunt them.
Lisa’s recent devastation as colleague PC Craig Tinker’s death once again challenged the pair as it brought back memories of Lisa’s late partner.
After Carla turned down her emotional proposal, Lisa felt doubly dejected. But when Carla explained she wants a proposal to come from love and not grief, Lisa understood and the pair soon got back on track.
Fans were then recently delighted when they agreed to move into their own home together, with fans pretty sure they’ll soon be making No.6 Coronation Street their family home, following Yasmeen Nazir’s exit earlier this year.

But spoiler pictures have now revealed that more emotional scenes look set to be on the cards for the pair as actresses Alison King and Vicky Myers were spotted filming scenes for the long-running show on Thursday (July 3) at Fletcher Moss in Didsbury.
Lisa seemed to be in an emotional state as she sat alone at the edge of the park, before being found by a concerned Carla. It appears the Underworld factory boss was keen to comfort her clearly distressed partner as they had a heart-to-heart.
Some also think the couple may have been being followed, leading to them speculating a massive twist could be on the cards which would see Becky actually alive.
Others, however, think more of Lisa’s own backstory could end up playing out, leading to us finding out about her family life.

@SarahWa58757614 reponded: “It’s definitely a womans arm so I’m thinking towards Lisa’s sister/Beckys bit on the side/Beckys mum/Lisa’s mum or could be one of the officers that Becky worked with and they was both corrupt together.”

So many people would be able to relate and understand what Lisa is going through. Also it would destroy Lisa, and Betsy, if they found out Becky was corrupt or worse still alive.”
