Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has confirmed that Joe Tate will confront a dangerous enemy in a brand new spoiler clip.
Joe finds out that someone close to him has been scheming behind his back next week – but there’s worse to come.
Viewers will know that Joe, who was suffering from chronic kidney disease, plotted with the crooked Dr Crowley to steal a kidney from Caleb Miligan.
Following the illegal transplant, Joe returned to the village and has recently been being threatened and blackmailed by an anonymous person.
In a newly-released clip from next week Joe figures out that his new henchman Shaun has been plotting against him and accuses him of being behind the blackmail.

After Joe sacks Shaun for his disloyalty, he attempts to kick him out and Shaun turns on him menacingly, but Sam appears just in the nick of time carrying a shotgun.
However, in subsequent scenes, it becomes clear that Shaun is actually in cahoots with Dr Crowley.
When Joe attempts to get out of town, Shaun creeps up on him and knocks him out and Joe wakes up in a makeshift hospital room with the evil Dr Crowley standing over him.
What does the villainous doctor want from Joe?
Speaking about his recent storylines, Joe actor Ned Porteous said: “Somebody’s always got it in for Joe – he doesn’t have the easiest life! But then he kind of asks for it, I suppose.

“I think there’s a more tactful way to go around doing what he has to do. He’s put in quite tricky positions and you have to find a reason for motivating your character for what he’s doing.
“In the recent kidney storyline, his motivation was to live. If he’d gone down the legal route of doing what he had to do, he could’ve died.
“So he felt like he was forced to put other people in jeopardy. He was happy to put his life before others.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
