Oasis made an epic return to the stage after more than 16 years, launching their long-awaited reunion tour on Friday night.
Liam and Noel Gallagher stepped out, hand in hand, to cheers from a crowd of 75,000 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium for the first night of their Live ’25 tour.
The duo opened with Hello and Acquiesce, before playing a set packed with classic hits including What’s the Story (Morning Glory).
The show marked their first performance since a backstage fallout led to the band’s split 16 years ago. Liam greeted the crowd, saying: “Hello beautiful people, it’s been too long.”
The two-hour show of uninterrupted hits has been met with rave reviews, but some fans have expressed their disappointment at one song being snubbed.
Lucky fans in the stadium were treated to 24 of Oasis’ biggest hits, including Cigarettes & Alcohol, Supersonic, Live Forever, and Wonderwall.

But following the gig, fans all said the same thing about one iconic song that was missing from the setlist, with some claiming to be “devastated” to not have heard their favourite track, Wales Online reports.
Maxi Gonzalez, an Oasis fan, posted a picture of the setlist for the gig on X and said: “What did you think of the setlist? For me, it was perfect. Thank you OASIS.”
The post was met with hundreds of replies from other fans sharing their opinions on the running order.
The most popular song to be left off the setlist seemed to be their 2005 chart-topping single Lyla, which multiple fans in the comments said deserved a spot on the running order.
One fan said: “Lyla would have been the biggest sing-along in history.”
Another added: “Take out Bring It On Down for Lyla and it’s perfect.”
A third said: “Was gutted to not see Lyla on the set list. That hits hard live and always goes down well.”

The band also chose not to include the 2002 single Stop Crying Your Heart Out, which has gone on to become one of Oasis’ biggest songs worldwide. Other hits, including Columbia and She’s Electric, were also missing.
One fan wrote: “Columbia would’ve been nice”
Another added: “Would’ve loved to see Columbia – personal favorite”
Many fans agreed that the band simply has “too many good songs” to be able to please everyone. Others also said there’s always a chance they choose to swap out some tracks on future tour dates, so the setlist may not stay the same.
The band will play a second Cardiff date on Saturday, July 5, before heading to Manchester’s Heaton Park for five nights (July 11, 12, 16, 19 and 20). Further dates follow in London, Dublin and Edinburgh, ahead of a world tour.
