Sheffield Wednesday’s current crisis could get worse if one Owls player leaves. The cryptic message he has posted on social media could suggest that his future is in doubt.
The desperate summer for Sheffield Wednesday has continued, with Dejphon Chansiri still not having the funds to pay players and staff.
To make matters worse, Danny Rohl has still not returned to Sheffield Wednesday as he continues to forge an exit from S6.
A selection of players have not received wages for two months in a row, leaving some with the option to hand in a 15-day notice.
Sheffield Wednesday have not disclosed which players have been paid their wages, but an indicator may have been given by one Owls star about his future at the club.

There could be an emphasis on keeping the younger ranks in the squad this summer as Sheffield Wednesday’s coaches attempt to formulate a team ahead of the 2025/26 Championship season.
Unfortunately, one player who could potentially find himself on his way out, based on his recent social media activity, is Bailey Cadamarteri, who posted a black-and-white photo on Instagram of him playing for Sheffield Wednesday in the 2023/24 season.
Whilst it is merely speculative that this is a sign towards Cadamarteri’s future at Sheffield Wednesday, it would make sense for the young forward not to be prioritised in terms of wages.

With pre-season camp at St George’s Park approaching, it would be hoped that Sheffield Wednesday would have their managerial situation sorted, but that is not the case.
Danny Rohl will not be coming back for it, meaning that one promise he left Bailey Cadamarteri is now up in the air.
It was a surprising decision when Sheffield Wednesday loaned out Cadamarteri after his breakthrough 2023/24 season, and despite a rather difficult period at Lincoln City where he was hit with injuries, he had the assurance of claiming the striker spot again in the upcoming campaign.
Per The Star, Rohl said last season: “This is football, it’s important that the players are fit for when preseason starts, and then they have a new chance to show where they are.”
Unfortunately, because of Rohl’s voluntary exile and the current situation at the club, this chance may have been taken away from Cadamarteri, who has potentially been sold a false idea ahead of the new season.
