We’ve heard basically nothing about new Fallout projects over the past few years aside from the successful TV series, but it sounds like Xbox and Bethesda are quietly working away on a few things – at least according to a new rumour.
In a new episode of the Skill Up podcast, VGC’s Jordan Middler subtly mentions how there are “multiple” projects in development related to Fallout, including “one you’re all wanting”. However, he says that one’s a long way away:
“There are multiple Fallout projects in development, including as far as I’m aware that one you’re all wanting, but it’s not far enough along to say anything that is like, you’re going to be playing this game anytime soon.”
Middler doesn’t tell us what that specific game is, but we’re assuming it’s either Fallout 5 or some kind of remaster / remake of Fallout: New Vegas. In any case, it sounds like it’s still a long way off getting a release as things stand.
He does say there are “multiple” projects though, and Fallout 3 Remastered is one that we’ve heard about before – it was literally leaked as part of a Bethesda release schedule a couple of years ago. We’re assuming that one’s still on the cards, but everything else is anyone’s guess – and we’re just hoping to get something sooner rather than later.
What do you make of this? What are you hoping the “one you’re all wanting” is? Tell us down below.
