Love Island fans are pleading with producers to intervene, alleging that Helena has developed an “obsession” with her villa rival, Shakira.
Viewers of the ITV2 dating sensation have noticed Helena’s “unsettling” tendency to mimic Shakira’s every move. It’s escalated to the point where she’s not only borrowing Shakira’s swimwear and outfits but also seems to be vying for the affections of the same lads that Shakira is interested in.
Both Helena and Shakira have had their moments with Harry, having paired up with him at different times. Helena sparked an early connection that fizzled out almost as quickly as it ignited.
Footballer Harry then shifted his focus to Shakira, prompting Helena to cast her net wider, despite seemingly never fully moving on from Harry, as hinted during the flirtatious Sleepover possibly triggered by newcomer Gio.
Back at the main villa, Helena is once again on Harry’s radar, competing with Shakira for his attention, and seemingly gaining the upper hand, although they’ve yet to officially solidify their bond, reports OK!.

However, Casa Amor’s curveballs have seen Shakira getting cosy with Ty from Barnsley, bonding over their shared Yorkshire heritage.
But this budding romance faces another hurdle as Helena has swooped in yet again, professing an interest in the new heartthrob.
During Tuesday night’s episode (8 July), Helen interrupted Ty for a chat while he was deep in conversation with Shakira.
Now, fans are theorising that Helena is intentionally throwing a spanner in the works of Shakira’s love life and claim she is “obsessed” with her fellow contestant.

One viewer posted on X, previously known as Twitter: “Producers need to step in cause Helena is way too obsessed with Shakira! ! ! #LoveIslandUK #LoveIsland.”
