You will soon be able to walk, drive or cycle down roads with five-star racing names such as Frankel Avenue and Sir Henry Cecil Drive after plans for road names on a new site of 50 homes were agreed by West Suffolk Council.

Part of a location which was formerly St Felix Middle School on Fordham Road is also earmarked to include a road named Shergar Way, after the legendary Derby winner trained in the town by the recently retired Sir Michael Stoute.

The main road through the development is to be named after Cecil, who died in 2013, just a year after the retirement of his stable star Frankel, whose unbeaten 14-race career culminated in a memorable last hurrah in the Champion Stakes at Ascot.
