Emmerdale spoilers follow from Thursday’s episode (10 July), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale has revealed Dr Crowley’s evil plan to steal Joe Tate’s fortune.
The dark scenes air in Thursday’s episode, as cruel Crowley threatens to cause serious harm to Joe if he doesn’t part with all of his savings.
The latest visit to the Dales sees Joe wake up in a makeshift hospital after being brutally attacked by Shaun, the guy who’s been working as his henchman in recent days.
It’s clear that Shaun’s true loyalties now lie with Crowley, as the thug-for-hire has delivered Joe to the menacing surgeon.

Viewers know that Joe previously recruited Crowley to carry out his illegal kidney transplant.
This now proves to be a serious mistake that he’ll live to regret, as Crowley reveals that he’s the one who has been tormenting Joe over the past few weeks – and it’s now time for the endgame.
Crowley’s motives are nothing personal, but he complains about his mounting debts and boldly demands another lucrative payout from Joe to sort them out.
Not one to do things by halves, Crowley puts Joe under anaesthetic and threatens to remove Caleb Miligan’s kidney, unless he pays up.

Crowley warns: “Do you think we’re bluffing? I carried out surgery on a man you arranged to have stabbed, stole his kidney and transplanted it into you, and I wasn’t even desperate when I did that.
“So, transfer the entire contents of your account to me, or I will undo all my hard work. Maybe Mr Miligan wants his kidney back. Or maybe Shaun’s Labrador gets a very special supper.”
How will Joe respond to the sinister threats? Fans can find out when the episode airs at 7.30pm tonight, or by watching right now on ITVX or YouTube.

Ned Porteous, who plays Joe, recently heaped praise on co-star James Hillier for his work as twisted Crowley.
He told us: “[James is] a really, really lovely guy. I enjoy working with him, he’s a nice dude and the character that he built is fun. It’s got more dimensions and it serves as a very interesting character going forward.
“Hopefully the audience will like what we do with it because it gets a bit crazy.”
“I’m personally really proud of the work that we did over those weeks and all the stuff we did,” Ned added.
“So I’m really excited to see how they come out. It was really good fun working on that.”
