Manchester United are being linked with several potential new signings as the summer transfer window rolls on.

One area of the pitch that has become the centre of the transfer speculation is at centre forward. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are the current striker options at United, but there are rumours that there could be new additions to the position at Old Trafford this summer.

Matheus Cunha has been signed from Wolves, with the £62.5million new addition also capable of performing in a centre forward role.

United had hoped to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town this summer, but the striker instead chosen to join Chelsea in a £30million deal. As a result, United have been looking at alternate options for the centre forward position, with a host of players being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Hugo Ekitike

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike has been heavily linked with a move to a new club this summer, with United mentioned as a potential destination.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle have also been linked with signing Ekitike this summer, who is reported to be valued at around £86million.

Viktor Gyokeres

Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres was linked with a move to United at the start of the summer transfer window.

However, it has quickly become clear that Gyokeres is more likely to move to Arsenal if he is to leave Sporting this summer. There have been reports of a £70million deal on the cards, although an agreement is yet to be reached with the Gunners.

Victor Osimhen

Victory Osimhen spent last season on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, and looks set to have a permanent move this summer. United were previously interested in Osimhen before opting to sign Hojlund.

Reports in recent days have claimed that Galatasaray are interested in re-signing Osimhen this summer, this time on a permanent basis. It remains to be seen if United would be in the running for the Nigeria international who has a €75million (£65million) release clause.

Ollie Watkins

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has also been linked with United in recent weeks, with the speculation ramping up over the last few days.

Watkins has also been mentioned as a possible target for Newcastle this week, which is seemingly creating another transfer battle for United. The England international was also linked with Arsenal during the January transfer window.

Jamie Vardy

Jamie Vardy is now a free agent after leaving Leicester City at the end of last season, with United being tentatively linked with the striker.

There were reports of Serie A outfit Genoa being interested in signing Vardy on a free transfer. However, it seems that move is not going to happen, creating speculation that a move to Old Trafford may be on the cards.

Moise Kean

Moise Kean has been linked with a return to the Premier League over the last few months, having enjoyed a successful spell at Fiorentina last season.

United have been tentatively linked with signing Kean this summer as they continue their striker search. Kean is reported to have a £45mllion release clause in his contract, which could open a pathway to a potential transfer.

Dusan Vlahovic

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is being heavily linked with a move away from Turin this summer. United are being mentioned as a possible destination.

It remains to be seen where Vlahovic will be playing his football next season, with some reports that Juventus are willing to cancel his contract with the club and hold talks over a potential move to the Premier League. This remains speculation, of course, with United continuing to be mentioned as potentially pursuing a deal for the Serbia international.
