The Duchess of Cambridge has shared her top five children’s books, revealing the titles that she enjoys reading to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Kate has joined forces with her stepmother-in-law, Camilla, to launch a brand-new kids’ book club on the Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room website, which has just been launched.
In honor of the launch, she disclosed her go-to children’s stories – including one that features a character with the same name as her daughter, Princess Charlotte.
One of Kate’s picks is Charlotte’s Web, which she notes is “loved in our house for obvious reasons” and praises as a “charming story about friendship, loyalty and love”.

She also suggests Stig of the Dump, a book that holds a special place in her heart as it was recommended by her father Michael and resonates with her own childhood memories of “loved spending time outdoors, making dens, digging, discovering and making things out of odds and ends”, reports the Mirror.
Additionally, Kate endorses the Katie Morag Series by Mairi Hedderwick, which she finds “captivating”, and the book Feelings, which she believes is a “wonderful way to help children understand and recognise their feelings and emotions”.

The last book on the list is The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark, a tale that Kate describes as a “comforting story to help children face their fears and grow in confidence with the help of others”.

Kate’s fondness for this book is well-known, as she read it out loud during her appearance on CBeebies Bedtime Stories just last month.
Jill Tomlinson penned the book, which narrates the journey of Plop, a baby barn owl who learns to conquer his fears with the support of others.
After finishing the reading, she remarked, “Wow, what an encouraging tale.
“We can all feel scared sometimes, just like our little owl friend Plop, but as Mrs Barn Owl said, ‘It’s better to find out about the things that scare us before we make up our mind’.
“And with the help of others, we can often face things that worry us. Now it’s time for bed. Night night and sleep tight.”
On the other hand, Camilla has been a long-time champion of literacy and reading, and just last week, she penned an exclusive piece for the Mirror about her favorite books to read to her grandchildren.
One of these is Gangster Granny – a thrilling tale about a grandmother who hatches a plan to swipe the Queen’s Crown Jewels from The Tower of London.
