David Corenswet And Nicholas Hoult’s Matching Photos
For the movie’s press tour, the two actors have been showering us with funny videos and hilarious interview moments, like when Nicholas explained that his wife convinced him to ask David to hold him.
On Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert, Nicholas said, “I was chatting to my wife one night, and she was like, ‘It’s so nice to be held by someone bigger than you. You don’t really get that, do you?’ And I was like, ‘No, I guess I don’t,'” said Hoult, who is six foot two. “She was like, ‘Yeah, no one’s really big enough to hold you, [but] David could hold you.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, he probably could.'”
If you’ve been paying close attention, you’d also notice that the two stars of Superman, including Rachel Brosnahan, who portrays Lois Lane, have turned the press tour into quite the fashion show.
Nicholas, especially, has gone viral for his threads and the debut of his bleached hair that has the internet thirsting like wild animals.
For example, on June 30, Nicholas was photographed in New York City — styled by Jason Bolden — in a Celine tank, jeans, and a sweater, holding a Prada tote bag.
But then, on June 9, David did the funniest thing ever and reheated Nicholas’s nachos by recreating the same photo head-to-toe with minor differences. On Instagram, David shared both photos with Rosemary and Betty Clooney’s song “Sisters” playing in the background. Instead of a designer bag, David carried a bag from the Philadelphia Eagles Pro Shop.
Nicholas commented a bunch of “👯♀️👯♀️👯♀️” emojis on the photos, signaling this is just another one of their playful press tour antics, but the damage was done. The internet has reached maximum thirst levels thanks to the Superman rivals.
An X user asked, “Who is this Superman movie geared to cause.” The press tour has been nonstop entertainment for my news feed.
Another X user wrote, “They know exactly what they’re doing and it’s working like a charm!”
One person said, “they match just like besties do.”
Somebody said, “Balenciaga would sell the Eagles Pro Shop plastic bag for $3000,” and that’s so real.
Another user put it best, writing, “It’s giving ‘Have you ever dreamt of a better version of yourself?’ if both were already perfect.”
“I love a couple that matches showing out,” someone else wrote.
This is definitely what happens “When you hang out way to much with your bff.”
One person said they’re “Looking like they just escaped a boyband bootcamp and got styled by a hyper-caffeinated fashion intern — serving abs, attitude, and accidental icons.”
And finally, someone wrote, they’re “Looking forward to seeing this couple on screen. They’re the real couple and you can’t convince me otherwise.” I agree. Watch the movie, and yes, Lex and Superman are definitely star-crossed lovers.
