Police are appealing for information after a man was hurt in a hit-and-run crash in Birmingham.

The man was struck by a car on Bordesley Green Road, near Third Avenue, Bordesley Green, shortly after noon on Thursday, April 10.

He was rushed to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver had failed to stop at the scene.

West Midlands Police has urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the force.

A force spokesperson said: “We were called to Third Avenue, Bordesley Green, shortly after 12pm last Thursday (10 April) after a vehicle struck a pedestrian.

“The man was taken to hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.

“The vehicle drove away following the collision.

“Witnesses or people with any information should contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101 quoting log number 2029 of April 10.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson previously told BirminghamLive: “We were at called at 12.04pm to reports of an collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

“It happened at the junction of Bordesley Green Road and Victoria Road in Bordesley Green.

“An ambulance and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were sent to the scene.

“On arrival, crews found the pedestrian, a man, with injuries not believed to be serious.

“Following treatment, he was conveyed to Heartlands Hospital.”
