Manchester United want a new striker this summer, and Christopher Vivell is bound to have a huge say on any incoming transfer.
Goals have been a problem for Manchester United throughout this season.
38 goals in 32 Premier League games just isn’t good enough, and United must find more goals next term.
United are interested in Matheus Cunha, with the Wolverhampton Wanderers star representing a brilliant option as a number 10.
United need a striker as well, though, with Rasmus Hojlund now attracting interest in Italy.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike is on United’s radar, but another Bundesliga striker could be a bigger priority.

Back in December 2024, we reported that United were seriously interested in Benjamin Sesko.
The RB Leipzig striker has long been linked with United, and Sesko actually snubbed United in 2022.
United approached Sesko last year, but the Slovenian striker chose to stay with RB Leipzig instead.
Sesko has hit 19 goals and six assists in 40 games across all competitions last season and still has huge potential at just 21.
Sport Bild now claim that United director of recruitment Christopher Vivell was in the stands to watch Sesko and RB Leipzig against Wolfsburg on Friday night.
Vivell helped sign Sesko for Red Bull Salzburg as a 16-year-old and then played a role in signing the striker for RB Leipzig in 2022.
Vivell may well want to sign Sesko once again, and his presence in the stands on Friday may suggest that United are seriously considering him for this summer.
Manchester United decision-makers may have their personal favourites
Vivell would almost certainly support a move for Sesko, but he isn’t the only man with a big say.
United technical director Jason Wilcox will have a huge role to play, and he could call on his Manchester City past.
United are keen on Liam Delap as the Ipswich Town striker worked under Wilcox in the City ranks.
Then there is Ruben Amorim, with the United boss surely having a major input on the kind of strikers he wants.
Amorim may prefer a move for Viktor Gyokeres, his former striker at Sporting, with the Swede a more experienced option than Delap or Sesko.
The United decision-makers may have their own personal favourites when recruiting a striker, but must come together to find the best man for the job ahead of Amorim’s first full season in charge.
