Sunday’s final was an engrossing one, with the World Number One besting his Spanish rival in four sets. The Waleses were joined on Centre Court by the likes of Lady Amelia Windsor, Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor, and Dame Anna Wintour, and the royals seemed engrossed by the proceedings, which they watched while fanning themselves in the blazing sun.
Catherine handed out the trophies after the match and spoke with both men before the Wales family accompanied Sinner back at the Clubhouse. The victor signed three tennis balls for the royal children, with Prince William joking that Prince Louis would be upset were he not to receive one like his two siblings.
It was the second time that Kate made her way to SW19 in so many days, with the Princess of Wales making a surprise early showing at the Women’s Singles final on Saturday. Welcomed once more by thundering applause, she sat next to tennis legend Billie Jean King and wore a cream Self Portrait dress, with a military-style jacket-like top half and flowing pleated skirt beneath. Kate paired the dress with a new leather bag by Anya Hindmarch.
