Manchester artist and Oasis superfan Laura Frances Heitzman has been left in tears after an unexpected gesture from her favourite band.

Laura has been creating an array of Oasis themed pop art in celebration of the return of the Gallagher brothers, and has been showcasing it at her stall on the MCR Live music markets at St Peter’s Square in the city centre.

But when she discovered that the band themselves had shared images of her colourful prints on social media, she admits she burst into tears – in front of a crowd of surprised customers.

Laura, 31, from Urmston, has gone viral on TikTok after sharing the moment she discovered that Oasis’ official social media accounts shared videos of her artwork, while in floods of tears again.

In the TikTok, now viewed almost 190,000 times, Laura says: “You won’t actually believe what has just happened, I was just on my market stall and I noticed that someone had tagged me in an instagram comment and I was like “oh a video of Oasis stuff in Manchester” and I thought oh, I must be in it.

“I noticed that Anais Gallagher commented on it and I was like, oo which page is this?”

Looking barely able to believe it, with tears in her eyes, Laura revealed: “It was Oasis – so like Oasis posted my art on their actual page, and I burst into tears oh my god right in front of these customers, I genuinely can’t actually believe it.

“I’ve worked so hard on this collection, I work so hard on all my art and I feel like finally things are paying off, I just can’t believe it.

“Do you think this means that maybe they’ve seen it? (screams) Aah, I’m so happy.”

The MEN caught up with Laura on her stall this week as she explained just how special the past week has been for her.

The Oasis video, entitled “Out and About” has been viewed over a million times and shows a whole host of the ways Manchester has been taken over by Oasis-mania in the past week.

In the video, Laura’s artwork of Liam singing, a large-scale print of an Oasis Heaton Park ticket, and a “Digsy’s Diner” menu with a whole host of Oasis references, all made the cut.

Comments left on the video included from Noel’s daughter Anais who said: “Best city in the world”.

Laura had tickets for the Wednesday night Oasis show at Heaton Park, after watching on in tears from afar when Liam and Noel first reunited in Cardiff earlier this month.

Laura said: “I’m a huge Oasis fan and I’ve been so excited for so long.

“When they first got back together, I was in Sainsbury’s, I saw the pictures of them holding hands, and it finally hit me that it was actually happening, they’re actually friends.

“I didn’t fully grasp that it was happening…. I was listening to Champagne Supernova in Sainsbury’s and I just burst into tears. I was so overwhelmed that I left my keys in Sainsbury’s – I had to go back for them! I was like what am I going to be like at the actual gig?”

Laura was fully prepared for the emotions of the night though – laughing: “I’ve bought waterproof mascara especially!”
