Business and homes remain without broadband service in parts of Tipperary town again today.
Local Independent Cllr John O’Heney says the latest update is that service is to be restored by 5pm today. The outage which is on the, Open Eir, infrastructure began on Saturday and has affected many retail providers of internet access. While some businesses have devised work around solutions to continue operating the main fault has not yet been resolved.Customers are asked to be patient with stores that cannot take card payments and to be prepared to use cash. Local accounting offices, many providing payroll services are impacted as is a local pharmacy and restaurant as they continue to provide services during the outage. The outage affects parts of St Michael street, Blind Street, Bank Place and Pearse Park.
