Police seized more than £115k in cash and a large amount of cocaine and heroin during a County Lines crackdown.

Officers found the bumper haul after carrying out early morning raids at several addresses in Birmingham and Coventry.

They discovered bundles of £20, £10 and £5 notes totalling more than £115k at one of the locations.

A man aged 54, and two women aged 31 and 30 were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

The three remain in custody for questioning.

A WMP statement said: “We have seized over £115,000 in cash, drugs and arrested three people this morning as part of our fight against serious and organised crime.

“Our County Lines Taskforce carried out warrants at multiple addresses in Coventry and Birmingham, this morning as part of an investigation into drugs lines.

“The cash was found along with a large amount of cocaine and heroin.

“One man aged 54, and two women aged 31 and 30 were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

“The three remain in custody for questioning.

“Our County Lines Taskforce is committed to disrupting the supply of drugs in the West Midlands and is relentlessly targeting those suspected of involvement in it.

“It’s all part of Operation Target, our ongoing fight against serious and organised crime in the West Midlands.

“Officers work 24/7 to disrupt and arrest those involved in guns, drugs, money laundering and exploitation.”
