“We thought enough of him to start him in the Kirkham Plate at Randwick last spring,” said Widdup.

“He ran last in that race, and then we put him out. He’s had two trials to prepare for his return to racing, and he has been good in both of them. I’m looking forward to seeing him back in action.”

Widdup rounds out the day at Hawkesbury when two promising gallopers, Noises and Sunset Park, line up in the Essential Asset & Fire Benchmark 64 Handicap (1500m) and the Godolphin Midway Benchmark 64 Handicap (1300m) respectively.

Stable apprentice Zac Wadick will ride Noises, while Collett partners Sunset Park.

“They are both resuming from a spell and both look set to sprint well fresh,” Widdup said.

“Noises has won a couple, and she raced in Group 1 grade last spring in Sydney and Melbourne.

“And Sunset Park is also a two-time winner. Like Noises, she’s had two trials to be readied for her first-up run. I couldn’t be happier with either of them.”
