The team at Happy River Retreat in Wareham is welcoming back nutritionist Daphne Lambert for a one-day workshop.
Happy River Retreat is a wellness centre found amongst the trees at Wareham Forest. Rachel and Robbie, co-founders of the retreat, are passionate about plant-based, conscious living and sharing their way with others.
Daphne Lambert, is an eco-nutritionist and founder of the Green Cuisine Trust for Living Food. She has also penned many cookbooks.
She aims to ‘engage all the senses’ of the Happy River Retreat surroundings during her Living Food workshop which will take place on Saturday, September 27 from 9.30am until 5.30pm.
Through her work, Daphne aims to help people understand the integral relationship that the food we eat has with the soil, plants, animals and the landscape, and the seasons has with us.

Rachel Bright, co-founder of Happy River, said: “This will be the third time that we will be hosting Daphne and each time, I learn something more awe-inspiring.
“Her ethos completely aligns with ours here at Happy River, with a commitment to sustainability both for the planet and for our health through promotion of real, honestly grown and local foods.”
The focus of the day will bring together the importance of healthy soils, healthy foods that make healthy people, with a spotlight on the importance of consuming a diverse range of natural foods for gut health, immunity and vitality.
Marking the beginning of autumn, Daphne will teach to harness the power of nutrient dense seeds like walnut and how to use the healing compounds stored in roots like Jerusalem artichokes, horseradish and galangal.
To secure a place, tickets to the workshop can be purchased on Happy River’s website.
