A man has been arrested and released as police were called to an alleged sex assault on a teenage girl in Glasgow.
Officers attended Beith Street in Partick at around 11pm on Friday July 18, after receiving reports a 16-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted.
A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released while enquiries continue, police confirmed on Sunday.
Detectives are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11pm on Friday, 18 July, we received a report of a 16-year-old female having been sexually assaulted in the Beith Street area of Glasgow.
“A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection and released pending further enquiries.
“Anyone with information that could assist with our investigation or who has concerns is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 4306 of Friday, 18 July, 2025.”
