A man has appeared in court after an attempted murder bid on a police officer outside a shop.
Dominic Gallagher, from Clydebank, was in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court charged with three counts of attempted murder, having an offensive weapon, vandalism and resisting arrest.
The 52-year-old made no plea when he appeared in court on Monday, July 21. The case was committed for further examination and Gallagher was granted bail. His next court appearance is yet to be confirmed.
Emergency services raced to a licensed premises on Glasgow Road in the West Dunbartonshire town at around 9.25pm on Friday, July 18, after reports of a man with a weapon outside. No-one was injured in the incident.
Detective Inspector Kevin Mulvenna previously said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing, and I would ask anyone who was in the area around this time to contact us. “In addition, we believe that the incident has been captured by members of the public who were there at the time and I would urge them to get in touch and share this footage with us.
