Greater Manchester police looking to trace next of kin of man with family in Edinburgh

Police in Salford are seeking help to trace the next of kin of a man from Eccles who is believed to have family in Edinburgh. 

Alexander McGoldrick (81), died at an address on Enfield Close, Eccles, on 21 July 2025. 

Anyone with information is asked to call the Police Coroner’s Office on 0161 856 4687. 

John graduated from Telford College in 2010 with an HNC in Practical Journalism and since then he worked for the North Edinburgh News, The Southern Reporter, the Irish News Review and The Edinburgh Reporter. In addition he has been published in the Edinburgh Evening News and the Hibernian FC Programme.
