Police in England are appealing to Edinburgh locals after a man with family in the capital was found dead.
Salford Police took to social media to issue an appeal in their efforts to trace the family of Alexander McGoldrick, 81.
Alexander passed away at an address on Enfield Close, Eccles, Manchester, on Monday, July 21.

It is understood Alexander has family in Edinburgh, London and Perth and anyone who knew him or can help is urged to contact the coroner’s office.
Salford Police said: “Do you know the next of kin of a man from #Eccles? Alexander McGoldrick, 81, died at an address on Enfield Close, Eccles, on July 21, 2025.
“He is believed to have family in Edinburgh, London and Perth. Any info? Call Police Coroner’s Office on 0161 856 4687.”
