The number of jobs in the financial services sector has increased from 35,500 in 2015 to just over 60,000 now, an increase of almost 70pc, according to a consultation paper published by the Department of Finance.
It credits Brexit with some of that increase, pointing out that the sector in Ireland has thrived since Britain voted to leave the European Union in 2016.
