The bid to turn part of the former Nash Warren Insurance office at 311 Long Lane in Shell Corner into an eatery have been approved by Dudley Council.
A report states: “The property is currently an empty office on the ground floor with storage and kitchen above, and this application seeks to convert the ground floor of the premises into a restaurant.”
The restaurant will have 24 covers and its opening times will be between 10am and 11pm Monday to Friday and between 10am and midnight on Saturdays and 10am till 10pm on Sundays.
The report goes on: “The conversion of the premises into a restaurant within the defined boundary of the town centre is considered acceptable and as a result of the omittance of the hot food takeaway element of the proposal the development would not result in an over-concentration of uses that has the potential to undermine public health.”
The change of use application does not state what kind of restaurant it will be, was approved on July 18.
