A fire at 9 Oaks Apartment Complex in Sheffield prompted an investigation as all residents evacuated safely.

SHEFFIELD, Ala. — A fire broke out late Thursday night at the 9 Oaks Apartment Complex in Sheffield, prompting an investigation.

According to the Sheffield Fire Department, the fire started around 11:30 p.m. Smoke detectors alerted residents, allowing everyone to evacuate safely before firefighters arrived.

Officials confirmed no injuries were reported, and the apartments are not considered a total loss. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
