You’ll even be able to take part in a four pub ‘Superquiz’

The latest venue from the pub landlord known for his daily four pints for a tenner drinks deal, is opening its doors today (Thursday, April 17).
The Greyhound in Fishponds has been closed for almost five years and now Marc Griffiths and his World Famous Diver Bars group have renovated this ‘iconic community pub‘, with a fresh paint job outside and a refresh indoors.
The World Famous Dive Bars also boast venues including he Mothers Ruin, The Crown, and The Colosseum.
The Greyhound’s opening times are listed on the pub’s new website as being 4pm-1am (Monday-Friday), and 12pm-1am (Saturday-Sunday).
What’s more, Marc has confirmed that The Greyhound will also be offering up his famous drinks deal.
You can already get the deal – four pints of lager or cider for a tenner between the hours of 4-8pm everyday – at all of his other venues, and in a recent video to Instagram, Marc shared the news that the ‘infamous Happy Hour’ would be available at the Fishponds pub too.

In a comment below the video, Marc confirmed that the doors would even open for the first time at 4pm “just in time for happy hour”.
Outside of the venue, pubgoers will see new murals freshly painted on the pub’s walls, as well as a new pub sign and name painted above the door.
In another post to Instagram on Wednesday (April 16), the team said: “We’d like to say a huge thanks to both @sepr & @paintpotsigns for their top work over the last couple of months.
“Shaun has been busy painting the murals on the side of the pub and along one of the garden walls, while Joss is the man behind the beautiful writing across the front of the pub, as well as the sign which hangs alongside it. Smashed it.”
The team has also been keeping pubgoers and locals regularly updated with the pub’s renovation, sharing photos and videos of their progress – and even a list of some of their most asked questions.
The Greyhound will be a dog friendly pub, with Sunday roasts already available to book now from Sunday April 20 onwards.

And tables can be booked via the new website here – the team says tables for everything other than roasts will be bookable for food and drink from Tuesday, April 22.
What’s more, Marc has also confirmed that the World Famous Dive Bars’ famous ‘Superquiz’ will also be coming to the Fishponds pub.
Competing each week against The Mothers’ Ruin, The Crown and The Colosseum, the winner will get the prize pot from all four pubs, meaning there is the possibility for some huge winnings.
You simply need to sign up at 8.30pm every Tuesday for just £1. Then all four pubs will take part in the same quiz.
There will even be free halftime food, a drawing round, and a bonus prize game to take part in.
Speaking with BristolLive earlier this month, Marc said: “We recognise that there are people who still want to go out who are on limited incomes, who shouldn’t have to pay, if they don’t want to, six or seven pounds a pint to go into a pub.
“But with us you still get all of the other things you get in a pub – good food, good experience, good atmosphere, good service.”
