A beauty technician has been crowned the first-ever Miss Great Britain Hampshire in the county.

The regional final of the oldest UK pageant was held on July 20, at Southampton’s Novotel Hotel, with more than 80 guests in attendance.

After a night of interviews and fashion, swimwear, and evening wear rounds, 23-year-old Cerys Hewson from Portsmouth was crowned the winner.

The beauty technician and former UK national miss was inspired to enter the contest after meeting a Miss Great Britain queen.
