In July, 43 projects totalling 1,991.35 MW were approved, while 24 projects amounting to 1,336.11 MW were rejected. The leading companies were GECAMA (325 MW), Enel Green Power (315.33 MW), Statkraft (153.78 MW), and Naturgy (198 MW).
In July 2025, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge published 67 administrative resolutions in the Official State Gazette (BOE) related to renewable energy projects. The total capacity processed reached 3,381.13 MW, covering photovoltaic, wind, and storage technologies, with a growing presence of hybrid systems.
One of the milestones was the authorisation of the Saurus project, with 152.25 MW, promoted by Engie Energía, hybridised with the Castelnou combined cycle thermal power plant in Teruel. Also approved was the hybrid plant by GECAMA, combining 225 MW of photovoltaics and 100 MW of storage, linked to a wind farm in Cuenca.
Strategic Energy Europe highlights the permits to Statkraft stand out, including the 153.78 MW Arada Solar photovoltaic plant, hybridised with a wind farm. The 48.8 MW Concejo II wind farm, promoted by Forestalia, was also authorised following administrative corrections.
The following projects received favourable environmental impact assessments:
- La Farga Bess (148.37 MW, storage, Girona).
- Lagerung, by Matrix Renewable (101.8 MW, storage, Girona).
- Coral Solar, by Metka EGN (150 MW, solar, Valladolid).
- Escuderos V Hybrid, by Elawan, with 14.4 MW wind and 37.31 MW solar (Cuenca).
- PHFV Sierra de la Oliva, by Naturgy, with 30 MWn solar integrated with a 30 MW wind farm (Albacete).

- Dalia, by Capital Energy (107.54 MW, Leon).
- Cabezuelas, by Capital Energy (60 MW, Soria).
- FV Alentisque, by Eolia, with 49.32 MW photovoltaics hybridised with a wind farm (Soria).
- Naturgy added six approved wind projects in Seville: PE Josmanil (30 MW), Las Cabreras (12 MW), Cortijo Nuevo (12 MW), Villanueva 1 (40.6 MW), Villanueva 2 (18 MW), and Las Hazas (46.4 MW), totalling 159 MW.
On the other hand, Forestalia accumulated the highest number of rejections, with 10 wind projects dismissed: Fontus, Dian, Felis, Fulgora, Kappa, Iota, Órbita, Lambda, Ómicron, and Omega, each with 56 MW, totalling 560 MW. Added to these was the partial rejection of FV Caparacena, 274.96 MW, promoted by Iberdrola.
Other significant rejections included:
