Iconic Sheffield nightclub Niche, the club widely credited with birthing bassline, celebrates 30 years with an event on Saturday 1st November 2025 at an unannounced location in Sheffield.
Former Niche resident DJ Jamie Duggan announced the club’s anniversary event on 4th July in an Instagram post.
Almost twenty years after the club was shut, Niche brings back its extended club night for a party running from 4pm until 2am.
The lineup hasn’t been announced yet, but Duggan said ravers can “expect to see all of the original names you associate with Niche! All of the DJs & Producers that made you fall in love with the sound!”
Coming on Halloween weekend, the DJ called it “the biggest Niche event in history”, with “all the old skool speed garage records and all the biggest bassline anthems.”
The club first opened in 1995 before it closed in 2005 following one of Sheffield’s biggest police raids in history, involving 300 officers. Read more about Niche and Bradford’s bassline scene.
