The Nailsea Community Clean Up took place on Saturday, July 19, with residents helping to clear litter and spruce up parks and open areas.

Cllr Karen Bird, of Nailsea Town Council’s environment and leisure committee, said: “We had a fantastic turnout for the Nailsea Community Clean Up on Saturday.

“This really helps to help keep Nailsea looking its best.”

The council said councillors were delighted by the community’s response and thanked everyone who took part, and that the event helped keep public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for all.

Future clean-up days are planned and may include painting, bench repairs, and sign cleaning.

Cllr Bird added: “We are also looking for businesses to help too and there might be sponsorship opportunities.”
