Police have charged a suspect after a man was hit by a car and killed in Birmingham.
Lee Baker, 28, was struck on Ormscliffe Road in Rednal shortly after 5pm on Monday 21 July and later died in hospital.
A 28-year-old was arrested yesterday and has since been charged with murder, perverting the course of justice, and theft of a motor vehicle.
He will appear at magistrates’ court today.
Det Insp Michelle Cordell, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is a significant step forward in our investigation, but it’s still vital that people with information come forward.
“We know a number of people were in the area at the time, and I’d urge them to do the right thing for Lee’s family and come forward and tell us what they know. My thoughts remain with Lee’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.”
Two other men – aged 28 and 29 – remain on police bail.
