Frontier Internet took home the Community Improvement Award at the 2025 Broadband Communities Awards for their outstanding efforts through the Broadband for Good initiative.
The program, detailed here on Frontier’s website, underscores Frontier’s passionate commitment to building stronger communities by delivering essential fiber-based internet connectivity to underserved areas, particularly benefiting educational, social, and economic opportunities.
By leveraging fiber technology, Frontier has leveraged the Broadband for Good program to bridge the digital divide and enable equitable access to the digital society’s full potential, as was detailed in their nomination.
A key feature of Broadband for Good is Frontier’s generous donations of high-speed fiber internet to numerous nonprofit organizations and youth programs across the country.
Notably, Frontier supports the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) in Rochester, New York, by powering virtual support groups and online educational resources crucial for mental health awareness and peer training. Similarly, the Learning Alliance Corporation (LAC) in Denton, Texas, benefits from donated connectivity and workspace, helping veterans gain telecommunications skills aligned with current job market demands.
Youth services also receive significant boosts via Frontier’s contributions, which played a large role in their victory at the 2025 Broadband Communities Awards this year in Houston.
Stepping up during the LA fires
Beyond education and social programs, Broadband for Good has also demonstrated critical emergency response capabilities.
During the recent devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, Frontier rapidly deployed durable fiber internet to the North Valley Caring Services evacuation hub, their nomination stated.
It was just one of the many ways Frontier’s efforts have enhanced access to online education, telehealth services, and essential community resources through drives like Broadband for Good and other strategic partnerships.
Frontier, according to our expert panel of judges, this year exemplified how innovative broadband deployment fosters inclusive growth and resilience in the digital era.
