Based on the bestselling 2018 novel by Julia Whelan, the film follows Anna De La Vega (Sofia Carson) as she pursues her dream of studying at Oxford University.
It was released on the streaming platform yesterday (August 1) and has already received rave reviews online.

Where was My Oxford Year filmed?
The film was shot on location across Oxford last autumn, with scenes at Magdalen College, St Hugh’s, Hertford, and a cameo from the Merton Street Wine Bar.
1. Oxford University colleges – The film extensively used various Oxford colleges for exterior and interior shots, including Magdalen College, Hertford College, St Hugh’s College, Christ Church College, and others.
2. The Bodleian Library, one of the oldest libraries in Europe, and Duke Humfrey’s Library, within the Bodleian, were also featured.
3. Scenes were filmed on Merton Street, including the Merton Street Wine Bar.
4. Near the Radcliffe Camera.
5. Bridge of Sighs and Magdalen Bridge.
6. The Sheldonian Theatre.
7. Lancaster House (this is also mentioned as a filming location, according to ELLE).
