One of Liverpool’s most popular bakeries has issued a message to thank customers for their continued support. Lunko, located on Little Parkfield Road just off Lark Lane, regularly has customers queuing down the street for its products.
The bakery, created by Adelina Blanaru and Marius Dogaru, has become a viral sensation with their incredible baked goods prompting customers to queue for over an hour to get their hands on the sweet and savoury treats. The bakery owners have taken to social media today to reflect on its continued success.
It was revealed there had been a sudden increase in volume as they shared the exact time customers should arrive at the bakery for to avoid disappointment.
A message said: “Hi everyone! Massive thank you for keeping us so busy. We have had a sudden increase in volume, with both of out retail and wholesale, which means our team is currently working extremely hard to keep up with the demand.”
The message added: “This past week have been selling out around 2.30pm. Please ensure you come earlier in the day, if possible, to avoid disappointment.
“Our bakers are still here now baking as we speak to ensure we still have pastries on the counter, but they are currently flying out. Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to us.”

The shop underwent a transformation earlier this year. The owners showed off the success of the renovation when the bakery reopened in March.
The message said: “We did it! Completely transformed Lunko into our vision within less than 3 weeks. Incredibly thankful for every single person that’s helped us get this project done in such a short period of time.
“Endless amounts of challenges that we faced every single day but somehow managed to make it work. Thank you to the team who worked on refurbishing Lunko and built our bespoke counter @welandconstruct finished with a wonderful wood worktop from @hoghtontimber, as well Steve, the most incredible joiner who also worked on our bespoke shelves.
“Thank you for managing to make everything work, including the window frame in the last day after it smashed during the refurbishment, whilst bringing equipment in.

“Thank you for taking on each challenge with such positivity and dedication. Thank you to the electricians, technicians, engineers, plumbers and each worker that made the impossible happen.
“Most of all thank you to our family & friends, my brother who helped us design the space and stayed with me until the morning to tidy up, whilst Marius went to have a power nap before his 4am shift.
“Thank you to Sonny who was still painting the frame of the window with a flashlight at 11pm. Thank you to Mihai who spent endless hours figuring out every single detail about that counter.
“Thank you to Iulian who’s favourite funny phrase to anything we would ask him to do was ‘don’t I make?? We hope you love it as much as we do! We still have little bits to iron out, so please bear with us whilst we are finding our feet. Thank you, everyone.
