An old video of late music icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba, performing at the wedding anniversary of former President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has popped up following his demise.
The highlife legend delivered an unforgettable performance which brought together Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, and other high-profile personalities.
As the true icon that he was, the atmosphere was electrified when he took the stage.
Lumba, known for his timeless voice and lyrical soul, thrilled guests with hits such as “Aben wa ha” and “Yentie obiaa”, songs that had both nostalgic and symbolic relevance.
Daddy Lumba’s music echoed not only through the speakers, but through the hearts of those who had followed his journey and witnessed his relationship with the couple.
Meanwhile Nana Akufo-Addo has visited Daddy Lumba’s residence to commiserate with his family on Friday, August 2, 2025.
At a point during his visit, the former president was overwhelmed with grief as he mourned the late Lumba, whose iconic “Nana Ye Winner” soundtrack skyrocketed Nana’s political campaign.
Daddy Lumba, whose musical career spanned almost four decades, died at the age of 60.
