Woman charged with murder over death of child in Leeds

A woman has been charged with the murder of a three-year-old girl who was found dead at a house in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police said they received a report of a concern for safety of a young child on 30 July at about 11:05 BST.

Officers went to a property on Austhorpe Court in Colton and the girl’s body was found inside.

The force said Pippa McGrath, 47, of Austhorpe Court, Leeds, had been charged with murder and was due to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court later.
